Evaluating a Logitude alternative? Test platforms on your own shipments.

Cloud forwarding platforms can look similar in a feature list. The difference shows up when your operators run a real file, hit a real exception and close a real job. This checklist is the one we'd use to evaluate DESTIN — and any other platform on your shortlist.

Evaluation checklist

What to ask every vendor, including us.

Daily usability

Have an operator run a real file end to end without the sales engineer driving. Count screens and clicks.

Each page opens on one status and one next action; details and diagnostics stay folded until needed.

Implementation burden

Ask who configures workflows, documents and charge codes, and what your team must own after go-live.

Published onboarding targets per plan, with core modules included rather than unlocked one by one.

Workflow coverage

Walk through quote, booking, HBL/MBL or HAWB/MAWB, documents, customs, delivery and closeout on one shipment.

Quotes, shipments, documents, customs readiness, tracking, warehouse and finance share one shipment record.

Tracking & exceptions

Ask how ocean, air and truck events are normalized, and how estimated and actual dates are kept apart.

One canonical timeline per shipment with actual vs estimated labeled and the source of each event retained.

Customs

Ask what happens between draft and filing, who approves, and how responses and rejections come back.

Filing readiness, missing-fact exceptions and human review; external filing only through approved connectivity.

Finance

Check job costing, AR/AP, agent settlements, multi-currency and how margin is shown per job.

Buy, sell and gross margin % on rates and jobs; invoices and payments tied to the shipment.

Integrations

List the carriers, data feeds and accounting systems you need, and ask which are live vs on a roadmap.

Connections are shown honestly as connected or not connected; nothing is presented as live when it isn't.

Pricing model

Ask whether pricing is per user, per shipment or per module, and how third-party data costs are passed through.

Plans scale by users and offices; paid third-party consumption may be metered or passed through transparently.

AI and human review

Ask what the AI actually does, what it can change on its own, and how you approve its suggestions.

DESTIN AI prepares drafts, summaries and next actions; state-changing and external actions need a person to confirm.

This page does not describe Logitude's features or pricing. Confirm current capabilities directly with each vendor during your evaluation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is DESTIN a drop-in replacement for Logitude?

Every forwarder's setup is different. The honest answer comes from mapping your current workflows, documents, integrations and reports against DESTIN in a working session, not from a feature list.

Can we migrate our existing data?

Migration scope — customers, parties, rates, open shipments and history — is agreed during onboarding. We recommend starting with open work and master data, then deciding what history needs to move.

How should we run a fair evaluation?

Pick two or three real recent shipments, including one with an exception, and have each vendor run them live. Score usability, completeness and how exceptions surface, using the checklist on this page.

Does DESTIN charge per shipment?

No per-shipment platform fee for normal core operations. Plans are priced by users and offices; paid third-party data such as premium tracking, SMS or customs transmissions may be metered or passed through.

Where does AI fit in the comparison?

Ask every vendor to show AI working on your own documents and emails, and to show exactly where a human approves. DESTIN AI prepares work; people confirm anything that changes records or leaves the building.

Put DESTIN through the checklist.

Bring two or three recent shipments and we'll run them live.
